Revamped WOLFMOTHER Makes Its Debut; Video Available
February 11, 2009The Pulse of Radio reports that a revamped version of the Australian retro-rock combo WOLFMOTHER, featuring frontman Andrew Stockdale and three new members, made its live debut at two shows in the band's home country this past weekend. According to ABC.au, the group played in Brisbane (February 6) and Sydney (February 8),appearing under the temporary name WHITE FEATHER to keep the shows low-key. The gigs included songs from the band's self-titled 2005 debut, as well as a handful of new material.
Stockdale told the crowd at the Sydney show, "A few things have happened ... I have got to say it's so great just to be able to play some music and share the music — do what we know, do what we love."
The new WOLFMOTHER will next play on March 22 in Adelaide, Australia, this time under its real name. A spokesperson could not confirm whether the players Stockdale was currently using would remain permanently.
